Hey Everyone!
What an amazing week it has been.  I am so grateful we have had the wonderful opportunity to take time to look back at the Savior's birth. I am so grateful I have this time to be a missionary to share the gospel with God's children. I have been able to see so many miracles as I have shared my testimony that He Lives and that He was born for us. I know that prayer is so powerful. That is one thing that I have definitely learned on my mission is to rely on my Heavenly Father. I know He hears our prayers. We got permission to watch “The Cokeville Miracle” with Muriel and her daughters Mariah and Cheyenne! It was so good! We were all in tears! It is so powerful how Heavenly Father listens to His children’s prayers. I am so grateful that we have the opportunity to learn from their innocent desires and faith.
Let us all pay attention to children’s humble prayers!
 Love,
Sister Young
2 Kings 6:15-17
15 And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?
16 And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.
17 And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

Hey guys!
Sorry, I have been so bad at writing the past couple of weeks! Soo.... This last week was transfers as you probably already know. Sister Mortensen was transferred to St. Cloud. My new companion’s name is Sister Kaitlyn Richardson! She has been on her mission for 3
months. In missionary lingo I am her "Dad" aka "Greenie Breaker." She is from Sammamish, Washington. It’s about 20 minutes East of Seattle. She is really great!  We are having a really great time together. Wednesday while we were at transfer meeting, we were all in the parking lot.  Suddenly, I saw Luciane Edgington from Lake Nokomis! She came and surprised me! It was so good to see her!!!! She took us out to lunch.  It was so fun to catch up with her.
After picking up Sister Richardson and lunch, we headed home to Anoka. When we arrived, we had the usual service at ACBC, Bishop's meeting and “Preach my Gospel” class! Sister Richardson and I decorated our apartment for Christmas as our first bonding activity to do together! It looks so stinkin’ cute!!! We were able to go see Peggy and her roommate Mariah! We talked to her
Our Christmas Deco's Sister's Richardson and Young
and we felt like we gained a relationship with her which is really good! Sister Richardson and I are doing so great together!  We really are having a great time together! We went and saw Pat and Sister B. as usual. It is a blast! We almost died driving to go get pie in Pat's car......don't worry!  Heavenly Father watches out for his missionaries ;) We also were able to hold a snake this week and feed miniature sharks! Pretty dang cool!
Sunday we had church. The Bishop asked Sister Richardson to speak for ten minutes. She did really well!  I dozed off a little during the other speaker’s lol! Oh well, I was kind of tired; it happens on a mission. Sunday night we went to the Warren’s again for dinner and a lesson. We taught them the “Plan of Salvation.” The Spirit was strong, and the lesson went really well. They said they are going to contact a person to refer to us!  We are so excited to be able to get a new investigator!
After dinner we went to the Anoka County Fair Grounds with the Elders to see the Christmas displays! It was really fun! Everything was free. We ran into someone we knew who helped organize the event. He gave us the grand tour! It was definitely not Temple Square but it was good! We then went to the Fossum's with the Elders and shared the Christmas video!

Monday was our Christmas Conference! It was so fun! We watched the Sound of Music then we were able to have lunch together as a Zone. That was cool! Sister Richardson and I were
invited to go to Pizza Ranch with all the Elders. That was fun to be the only Sisters. We then saw the Anderson's. We made cookies together, so that was a lot of fun! Today we are at the Fossum's while the Elders are getting haircuts and their eyebrows waxed! It is fun! We have all gotten really close with one another.  I feel like they are all my little brothers.  I love them to pieces! I also love Sister Richardson! She seriously is so sweet! I think that we have known each other for a very long time. She is so fun and loving; I am excited to get to know her better over the next transfer.
I love you all and want you to remember that Heavenly Father loves you and wants you to follow Him this Christmas Season.  #ASAVIORISBORN
