Yeah, so this week was not too eventful.
Monday we ran a bajillion’s errands! They all were very much needed. We found
out that all three of us can't shop like we used to! Lol….. When we finished
shopping we went to a less active part member family’s home for FHE. We talked
about the Book of Mormon. It was really good
even though it was a difficult lesson because the kids were pretty goony. Other than that it was all great! The Spirit
filled the room. We all sang “Book of Mormon Stories” and “Nephi's Courage”! When
we got home, we were praying that we would be able to have energy for Tuesday,
and man oh man does Heavenly Father answer prayers! Tuesday we were SNOWED IN!
You guys, He let us have a little bit of a chill day! It was so needed! Here is funny thing that happened on our “snow
day”. The Cambodian Elders, Nang and Smith made us lunch at the club house they
live in. It is the same apartment complex as ours. The storm was amazing! It
was just POUNDING SNOW, SERIOUSLY POUNDING! It was a total blizzard! We were
thankful our prayer was answered :)
So, this
week at the office I filled out peoples/missionaries departure/”death” packets.
Guess who's I did? MINE! How weird is that?!? Ya'll better look out because I
will be coming back into your lives like a tornado pretty soon ;) JK…….It's actually
super weird to think about and it's starting to sink in that I don't have a ton
of time left out here.....We were able to go and shovel some people’s driveways
after the storm. It was a lot of hard work
but it was fun to serve people! We had exchanges again this week with the
Minnetonka Sisters. It was really good. Sister
Turner, my MTC comp came here. That was so
much fun to be together! We went to an investigators multi- apartment house
complex and knocked some doors. This nice older guy who was extremely large
named Bruce (reminded me of Finding Nemo lol) and his dog Buddy answered the
door! Immediately I was like; dang we have to teach him! We didn't get to talk
to him very much however because the lady we were seeing told us to leave. We
will definitely be going back to visit Bruce and Buddy! We went to a less active
ladies home. As we stepped in we immediately felt very “dark”. The Spirit immediately
told us to open the door back up and to leave. We told her we came to cancel
our appointment. We felt bad because she was nice but there were evil spirits there
and we couldn't stay. Hopefully, we will be able to go back with a priesthood
holder so that we can help bring the Spirit into her life again. Surprisingly,
I have a lot of experiences like that on my mission. I am so grateful for the Spirit
and the promptings that it gives us. Because of the Spirit we are able to be
safe and better do the Lord's work! After that, we went to another less active family’s
home. Their 3 cute little girls came to answer the door, but the parents
weren't home so knowing that we couldn’t go in without the parents there, we
left. We will for sure go back another time!
The next
day we exchanged back and the Elders and us made brownies to take around to
ward members. We wanted to hopefully let them know that we love them. It is
important for them to be able to trust us. Our goal is that they will be more missionary
minded. It seemed to work because we soon had more dinner invitations than
normal this week :) It was so fun to run around to visit and serve those in our
ward! We were able to teach quite a few people! Sooo, yeah um I forgot what
else happened this week. Please keep the
MMM missionaries in your prayers. There were 3 car accidents this week. Fortunately,
no one was hurt. Three cars were totaled though. So, yeah pray that all our peeps are safe
here, because I am not biking.
Love ya lots! (To the moon and back!!)

Scripture of the week: Moroni
9:6 “And now my beloved son,
notwithstanding their hardness, let us labor diligently; for if we should cease
to labor, we should be brought under condemnation; for we have a labor to
perform whilst in this tabernacle of clay, that we may conquest the enemy of
all righteousness, and rest our souls in the kingdom of God.”
